The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great journalism programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Georgetown University. Located in Washington, District of Columbia, this fairly large private not-for-profit school handed out 21 diplomas to qualified masters’s journalism students in 2019-2020.
Georgetown did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #3 on our “Best Journalism Master’s Degree Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region” list. Although you might pay more or less depending on your area of study, average graduate tuition and fees at Georgetown University are $53,591.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend St. Bonaventure University. It ranked #3 on our 2022 Best Value Journalism Schools for a Master’s in the Middle Atlantic Region For Those Making $48-$75k list. St. Bonaventure University is located in Saint Bonaventure, New York and, has a small student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 42 masters’s journalism degrees to qualified students.
