In 2019-2020, 81,384 computer information systems students received their degree, making the major the 10th most popular in the country. In 2017-2018, computer information systems graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $51,664 and had an average of $26,071 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 27,948 computer information systems graduates with average earnings and debt of $45,020 and $25,465 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 4,282 computer information systems graduates with average earnings and debt of $53,950 and $43,286 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value CIS Schools for a Master’s in the Southeast Region For Those Making $0-$30k” ranking looked at 59 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in computer information systems. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent computer information systems programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.

The public school handed out masters’s CIS degrees to 1,605 students in 2019-2020.
