In 2019-2020, 81,384 computer information systems students received their degree, making the major the 10th most popular in the country. In 2017-2018, computer information systems graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $51,664 and had an average of $26,071 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southwest region, there were 10,504 computer information systems graduates with average earnings and debt of $48,111 and $24,345 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 2,018 computer information systems graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,605 and $16,886 respectively.
