2022 Best Value Programming Schools for a Master’s in the Great Lakes Region

Computer Programming is the 121st most popular major in the country with 10,756 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, computer programming graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $45,886 and had an average of $26,222 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Great Lakes region, there were 1,969 computer programming graduates with average earnings and debt of $42,816 and $21,998 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 179 computer programming graduates with average earnings and debt of $57,039 and $42,488 respectively.

The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great computer programming programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

Youngstown State University is located in Youngstown, Ohio and, has a fairly large student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 13 masters’s programming degrees to qualified students.
