Computer Programming is the 121st most popular major in the country with 10,756 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, computer programming graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $45,886 and had an average of $26,222 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Great Lakes region, there were 1,969 computer programming graduates with average earnings and debt of $42,816 and $21,998 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 829 computer programming graduates with average earnings and debt of $32,508 and $17,812 respectively.

Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent computer programming programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
