In 2019-2020, 10,756 people earned their degree in computer programming, making the major the 121st most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, computer programming graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $45,886 and had an average of $26,222 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 384 computer programming graduates with average earnings and debt of $58,150 and $32,411 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 155 computer programming graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,753 and $14,559 respectively.
