In 2019-2020, 16,932 people earned their degree in computer engineering, making the major the 60th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, computer engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $68,762 and had an average of $25,829 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 3,151 computer engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $64,393 and $25,713 respectively. At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 110 computer engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $71,978 and $116,300 respectively.

This ranking identifies schools with high-quality computer engineering programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
