Electrical Engineering is the 31st most popular major in the country with 30,670 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, electrical engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $70,098 and had an average of $23,581 in loans still to pay off.
Across Ohio, there were 1,272 electrical engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $69,255 and $25,764 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 797 electrical engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,281 and $26,151 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value EE Schools for a Bachelor’s in Ohio For Those Making $0-$30k” ranking looked at 13 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in electrical engineering. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent electrical engineering programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.

Located in Columbus, Ohio, this large public school awarded 248 degrees to qualified bachelors’s EE students in 2019-2020.
