2022 Best Value Doctor’s Degree Colleges for General Engineering in the Southeast Region

General Engineering is the 83rd most popular major in the country with 9,411 degrees awarded in 2019-2020.
Across the Southeast region, there were 2,232 general engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $0 respectively. At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 217 general engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $71,978 and $116,300 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Engineering Schools for a Doctorate in the Southeast Region” ranking, we looked at 10 colleges that offer a degree in general engineering. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent general engineering programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.

Located in Ruston, Louisiana, this fairly large public school handed out 8 degrees to qualified doctorate’s engineering students in 2019-2020.

Out of the 10 schools in the Best Value Engineering Schools for a Doctorate in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Arkansas landed the #3 spot on the list. University of Arkansas is a large public school situated in Fayetteville, Arkansas. It awarded 40 doctorate’s engineering degrees in 2019-2020.

Tennessee Tech University is a fairly large public school situated in Cookeville, Tennessee. It awarded 21 doctorate’s engineering degrees in 2019-2020.
