Industrial Engineering is the 86th most popular major in the country with 9,448 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, industrial engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $64,716 and had an average of $22,994 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southwest region, there were 1,411 industrial engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $63,911 and $19,532 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 763 industrial engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,896 and $23,899 respectively.

For this year’s “Best Value IE Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southwest Region” ranking, we looked at 13 colleges that offer a degree in industrial engineering. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent industrial engineering programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.

Texas Tech is a large public school situated in Lubbock, Texas. It awarded 76 bachelors’s IE degrees in 2019-2020.
