In 2019-2020, 9,448 people earned their degree in industrial engineering, making the major the 86th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, industrial engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $64,716 and had an average of $22,994 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 393 industrial engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $64,100 and $25,277 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 220 industrial engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $41,041 and $24,492 respectively.

For this year’s “Best Value IE Schools for a Bachelor’s in the New England Region” ranking, we looked at 7 colleges that offer a degree in industrial engineering. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent industrial engineering programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
