In 2017-2018, industrial engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $64,716 and had an average of $22,994 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 393 industrial engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $64,100 and $25,277 respectively. At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 10 industrial engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $73,889 and $109,372 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value IE Schools for a Doctorate in the New England Region” ranking analyzed 3 colleges that offered a degree in industrial engineering. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great industrial engineering programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

Out of the 3 schools in the Best Value IE Schools for a Doctorate in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Rhode Island landed the #2 spot on the list. Kingston, Rhode Island is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out doctorate’s IE degrees to 2 students in 2019-2020.
