This ranking identifies schools with high-quality mechanical engineering programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Utah. It ranked #2 on our 2022 Best Value ME Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region list. U of U is located in Salt Lake City, Utah and, has a large student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 64 masters’s ME degrees to qualified students.
U of U did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #3 on our “Best Mechanical Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region” list. Average graduate tuition and fees at University of Utah are $24,695, but some majors have different tuition rates.
Out of the 12 schools in the Best Value ME Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Wyoming landed the #3 spot on the list. University of Wyoming is a public institution located in Laramie, Wyoming. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 11 masters’s degrees in 2019-2020.

University of Idaho landed the #7 spot on the 2022 Best Value ME Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region ranking. U of I is a fairly large school located in Moscow, Idaho that handed out 19 masters’s ME degrees in 2019-2020.

Denver, Colorado is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s ME degrees to 13 students in 2019-2020.
CU Anschutz also took the #11 spot in our “Best Mechanical Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region” ranking. Average graduate tuition and fees at CU Anschutz are $23,915, but some majors have different tuition rates.
Boise State University ranked #9 on this year’s Best Value ME Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region list. Boise State University is a large public school situated in Boise, Idaho. It awarded 10 masters’s ME degrees in 2019-2020.
