Writing Studies is the 76th most popular major in the country with 13,036 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, writing studies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $29,483 and had an average of $27,853 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southwest region, there were 1,384 writing studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $32,917 and $23,689 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 293 writing studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $53,078 and $37,227 respectively.
