In 2019-2020, 7,883 people earned their degree in speech pathology and audiology, making the major the 98th most popular in the United States.
Across the Southeast region, there were 3,028 speech pathology and audiology graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $0 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,785 speech pathology and audiology graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,277 and $25,415 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Audiology Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southeast Region” ranking looked at 32 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in speech pathology and audiology. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great speech pathology and audiology programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

The University of Tennessee - Health Science Center did quite well in the 2022 Best Value Audiology Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southeast Region ranking, coming in at #11. The University of Tennessee - Health Science Center is a small public school situated in Memphis, Tennessee. It awarded 78 bachelors’s audiology degrees in 2019-2020.
