2022 Best Value Associate Degree Colleges for Health Sciences & Services in the Rocky Mountains Region
It’s not easy to decide which college to attend when there so many options available for students. Our “Best Value Health Science Schools for an Associate in the Rocky Mountains Region” ranking is part of that endeavor.
In 2019-2020, 31,648 people earned their degree in health sciences and services, making the major the 42nd most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, health sciences and services graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $34,571 and had an average of $24,129 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Rocky Mountains region, there were 866 health sciences and services graduates with average earnings and debt of $31,117 and $19,289 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 493 health sciences and services graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,967 and $17,711 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Health Science Schools for an Associate in the Rocky Mountains Region” ranking, we looked at 9 colleges that offer a degree in health sciences and services. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent health sciences and services programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.

LCCC is a small public school situated in Cheyenne, Wyoming. It awarded 25 associates’s health science degrees in 2019-2020.

The school came in at #4 for the Best Value Health Science Schools for an Associate in the Rocky Mountains Region. Nampa, Idaho is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out associates’s health science degrees to 25 students in 2019-2020.

The school came in at #5 for the Best Value Health Science Schools for an Associate in the Rocky Mountains Region. WSU is a large public school situated in Ogden, Utah. It awarded 182 associates’s health science degrees in 2019-2020.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at WSU, the school also landed the #2 spot in our “Best Health Sciences & Services Associate Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region” ranking. Central Wyoming College came in at #6 in this year’s edition of the Best Value Health Science Schools for an Associate in the Rocky Mountains Region ranking. Central Wyoming College is a small school located in Riverton, Wyoming that handed out 19 associates’s health science degrees in 2019-2020.
CWC not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #5 on our “Best Health Sciences & Services Associate Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region” list. The estimated yearly cost for Central Wyoming College is $6,982 for Rocky Mountains Region Associate Degree Health Science students.
The school has an impressive student loan default rate. It’s only 3.8%, which is much lower than the national rate of 10.1%.
