Across Texas, there were 22,356 nursing graduates with average earnings and debt of $68,663 and $24,181 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 6,359 nursing graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $0 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Nursing Schools for an Associate in Texas” ranking, we looked at 50 colleges that offer a degree in nursing. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great nursing programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

Texas City, Texas is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The public school handed out associates’s nursing degrees to 83 students in 2019-2020.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at COM, the school also landed the #10 spot in our “Best Nursing Associate Degree Schools in Texas” ranking. The yearly cost to attend College of the Mainland is $2,036 for texas associate degree nursing students.
