In 2019-2020, 64,869 people earned their degree in health and physical education, making the major the 11th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, health and physical education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $29,872 and had an average of $24,778 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 7,278 health and physical education graduates with average earnings and debt of $30,670 and $25,650 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 1,133 health and physical education graduates with average earnings and debt of $60,887 and $46,998 respectively.
