In 2019-2020, 31,746 people earned their degree in clinical, counseling and applied psychology, making the major the 37th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, clinical, counseling and applied psychology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $45,872 and had an average of $65,193 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 2,840 clinical, counseling and applied psychology graduates with average earnings and debt of $45,174 and $51,273 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Clinical Psychology Schools in the Southwest Region For Those Getting Aid” ranking analyzed 61 colleges that offered a degree in clinical, counseling and applied psychology. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent clinical, counseling and applied psychology programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
