Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent social work programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Brigham Young University - Provo. It ranked #1 on our 2022 Best Value Social Work Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region list. This large school is located in Provo, Utah, and it awarded 41 masters’s social work degrees in 2019-2020.

BYU also made our “Best Social Work Master’s Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region” list, coming in at #5. Average graduate tuition and fees at Brigham Young University - Provo are $7,510, but some majors have different tuition rates.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Northwest Nazarene University. It ranked #2 on our 2022 Best Value Social Work Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region list. NNU is located in Nampa, Idaho and, has a small student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 39 masters’s social work degrees to qualified students.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at NNU, the school also landed the #7 spot in our “Best Social Work Master’s Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region” ranking. Average graduate tuition and fees at NNU are $11,121, but some majors have different tuition rates.

Laramie, Wyoming

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Wyoming. It ranked #3 on our 2022 Best Value Social Work Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region list. This fairly large school is located in Laramie, Wyoming, and it awarded 18 masters’s social work degrees in 2019-2020.

UW did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #6 on our “Best Social Work Master’s Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region” list. Average graduate tuition and fees at University of Wyoming are $16,615, but you may pay more or less depending on your major.

Salt Lake City, Utah

Out of the 12 schools in the Best Value Social Work Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Utah landed the #4 spot on the list. University of Utah is a large school located in Salt Lake City, Utah that handed out 172 masters’s social work degrees in 2019-2020.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at U of U, the school also landed the #2 spot in our “Best Social Work Master’s Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region” ranking. MSU Denver is a fairly large public school situated in Denver, Colorado. It awarded 144 masters’s social work degrees in 2019-2020.

Boise, Idaho

Boise State University did quite well in the 2022 Best Value Social Work Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region ranking, coming in at #7. Boise, Idaho is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s social work degrees to 226 students in 2019-2020.

Utah State University did quite well in the 2022 Best Value Social Work Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region ranking, coming in at #8. Utah State University is a large school located in Logan, Utah that handed out 42 masters’s social work degrees in 2019-2020.

Missoula, Montana

The University of Montana ranked #9 on this year’s Best Value Social Work Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region list. The University of Montana is a medium-sized public school situated in Missoula, Montana. It awarded 26 masters’s social work degrees in 2019-2020.

Utah Valley University landed the #10 spot on the 2022 Best Value Social Work Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region ranking. Located in Orem, Utah, this large public school awarded 51 degrees to qualified masters’s social work students in 2019-2020.

UVU did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #11 on our “Best Social Work Master’s Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region” list. Average graduate tuition and fees at UVU are $26,657, but some majors have different tuition rates.

#12 in overall quality

With a ranking of #11, Idaho State University did quite well on the 2022 Best Value Social Work Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region list. Pocatello, Idaho is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s social work degrees to 25 students in 2019-2020.

University of Denver is located in Denver, Colorado and, has a fairly large student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 417 masters’s social work degrees to qualified students.
