2022 Best Value Folk Art Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southeast Region

Crafts, Folk Art & Artisanry is the 333rd most popular major in the country with 129 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, crafts, folk art and artisanry graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $20,767 and had an average of $26,906 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 72 crafts, folk art and artisanry graduates with average earnings and debt of $18,300 and $23,250 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 32 crafts, folk art and artisanry graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,277 and $25,415 respectively.
This ranking identifies schools with high-quality crafts, folk art and artisanry programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.

Out of the 1 schools in the Best Value Folk Art Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Virginia Commonwealth University landed the #1 spot on the list. Virginia Commonwealth University is a large public school situated in Richmond, Virginia. It awarded 32 bachelors’s folk art degrees in 2019-2020.
