Fine & Studio Arts is the 29th most popular major in the country with 39,860 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, fine and studio arts graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $23,847 and had an average of $28,316 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 6,315 fine and studio arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $23,274 and $27,332 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 5,751 fine and studio arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,277 and $25,415 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Fine Arts Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southeast Region” ranking looked at 161 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in fine and studio arts. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent fine and studio arts programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
