2022 Best Value Master’s Degree Colleges for Film, Video & Photographic Arts in the Southeast Region

Film, Video & Photographic Arts is the 64th most popular major in the country with 17,506 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, film, video and photographic arts graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $22,714 and had an average of $31,549 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 3,431 film, video and photographic arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $20,659 and $28,774 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 325 film, video and photographic arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $53,950 and $43,286 respectively.

The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great film, video and photographic arts programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

Located in Conway, Arkansas, this fairly large public school awarded 5 degrees to qualified masters’s film students in 2019-2020.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at UCA, the school also landed the #7 spot in our “Best Film, Video & Photographic Arts Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking. Average graduate tuition and fees at UCA are $11,648, but you may pay more or less depending on your major.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Regent University. The school came in at #2 for the Best Value Film Schools for a Master’s in the Southeast Region. Regent University is a fairly large school located in Virginia Beach, Virginia that handed out 33 masters’s film degrees in 2019-2020.
Regent also took the #8 spot in our “Best Film, Video & Photographic Arts Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking. Average graduate tuition and fees at Regent are $17,052, but some majors have different tuition rates.

This small school is located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and it awarded 20 masters’s film degrees in 2019-2020.

University of South Carolina - Columbia landed the #6 spot on the 2022 Best Value Film Schools for a Master’s in the Southeast Region ranking. Columbia, South Carolina is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s film degrees to 2 students in 2019-2020.

With a ranking of #8, Savannah College of Art and Design did quite well on the 2022 Best Value Film Schools for a Master’s in the Southeast Region list. SCAD is a fairly large private not-for-profit school situated in Savannah, Georgia. It awarded 104 masters’s film degrees in 2019-2020.
SCAD also took the #1 spot in our “Best Film, Video & Photographic Arts Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking. Although you might pay more or less depending on your area of study, average graduate tuition and fees at Savannah College of Art and Design are $38,975.
With a ranking of #9, University of Miami did quite well on the 2022 Best Value Film Schools for a Master’s in the Southeast Region list. Located in Coral Gables, Florida, this fairly large private not-for-profit school handed out 11 diplomas to qualified masters’s film students in 2019-2020.
