2022 Best Value Biotech Schools for a Master’s in the Middle Atlantic Region

In 2019-2020, 3,585 people earned their degree in biotechnology, making the major the 171st most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, biotechnology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $50,092 and had an average of $32,815 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 1,039 biotechnology graduates with average earnings and debt of $59,650 and $39,761 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 784 biotechnology graduates with average earnings and debt of $60,887 and $46,998 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Biotech Schools for a Master’s in the Middle Atlantic Region” ranking looked at 15 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in biotechnology. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent biotechnology programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as the cost to attend the school after aid is awarded and overall quality of the biotechnology program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
