With 55,749 degrees handed out in 2019-2020, general business/commerce is the 9th most popular major in the United States.
At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 267 general business/commerce graduates with average earnings and debt of $72,680 and $116,043 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value General Business Schools for a Doctorate” ranking, we looked at 21 colleges that offer a degree in general business/commerce. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great general business/commerce programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
Some of the factors we look at when determining these rankings are overall quality of the general business/commerce program at the school and the cost of the school after aid is awarded among other things. See our ranking methodology to learn more.
