In 2019-2020, 55,749 people earned their degree in general business/commerce, making the major the 13th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, general business/commerce graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $40,821 and had an average of $25,596 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Great Lakes region, there were 10,177 general business/commerce graduates with average earnings and debt of $42,581 and $26,197 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 1,438 general business/commerce graduates with average earnings and debt of $32,508 and $17,812 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value General Business Schools for an Associate in the Great Lakes Region For Those Making $75-$110k” ranking looked at 35 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in general business/commerce. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great general business/commerce programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
