In 2019-2020, 17,830 people earned their degree in hospitality management, making the major the 61st most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, hospitality management graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $33,271 and had an average of $21,829 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 5,663 hospitality management graduates with average earnings and debt of $32,970 and $23,823 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 3,458 hospitality management graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,277 and $25,415 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Hospitality Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southeast Region For Those Making $0-$30k” ranking analyzed 58 colleges that offered a degree in hospitality management. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality hospitality management programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.

When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the hospitality management program at the school and the cost to attend the school once aid has been awarded. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
