For this year's Best Hospitality Management Colleges for Veterans in the United States ranking, we looked at 117 colleges that offer a bachelor's in hospitality. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality hospitality management programs as well as strong veteran support.

Ithaca, NY

Cornell University comes in at #1 in this year's ranking. Cornell is a very large private not-for-profit school located in the small city of Ithaca. Cornell also took the #1 spot in our Best Colleges for Hospitality Management in the United States rankings.

Among the 23,600 students enrolled at Cornell, 621 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 519 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $10,152. On top of their other funding sources, 150 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program.

University of Nevada - Las Vegas earned the #2 spot in our 2021 rankings. UNLV is a very large public school located in the medium-sized city of Las Vegas. On top of its placing in our veterans rankings, UNLV also did well on our Best Colleges for Hospitality Management in the United States list. It's in the top 20% of all schools reviewed in that analysis.

According to our most recent data, UNLV supports 30,457 students, and 1,576 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 1,048 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $6,443. During this same period, 1 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

Culinary Institute of America comes in at #3 in this year's ranking. The Culinary Institute of America is a small private not-for-profit school located in the suburb of Hyde Park. The Culinary Institute of America not only placed well in our veterans rankings. It is also #2 on our Best Colleges for Hospitality Management in the United States list.

Our most recent data shows that 152 of the 2,990 students enrolled at The Culinary Institute of America were GI Bill® students, of which 142 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $21,874. In addition to receiving other benefits, 72 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. The Culinary Institute of America does offer credit for military training for eligible students.

The #4 spot in this year's ranking belongs to University of Houston. U of H is a fairly large public school located in the large city of Houston. U of H not only placed well in our veterans rankings. It is also #9 on our Best Colleges for Hospitality Management in the United States list.

Of the 46,324 students enrolled at U of H, 1,380 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 935 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for these recipients was $9,578. U of H does offer credit for military training for eligible students.

Purdue University - Main Campus landed the #5 spot in our 2021 rankings for best value hospitality management schools. Purdue is a fairly large public school located in the city of West Lafayette. Purdue also made our Best Colleges for Hospitality Management in the United States list, coming in at #3.

According to our most recent data, Purdue supports 44,474 students, and 761 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 556 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $8,363. In addition to receiving other benefits, 32 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Students may be able to receive credit for their military training, depending on their background.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at GWU, the school also landed the #4 rank in our Best Colleges for Hospitality Management in the United States ranking.

Our most recent data shows that 1,274 of the 28,172 students enrolled at GWU were GI Bill® students, of which 1,076 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for these recipients was $16,151. In addition to receiving other benefits, 349 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program.

Located in the suburb of Miami, FIU is a public school with a very large student population. FIU also claimed a spot on our Best Colleges for Hospitality Management in the United States list. It's in the top 20% of all schools in this category.

Among the 57,942 students enrolled at FIU, 1,099 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 646 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $7,649. FIU does offer credit for military training for eligible students.
