2022 Best Value Programming Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Middle Atlantic Region

Computer Programming is the 121st most popular major in the country with 10,756 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, computer programming graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $45,886 and had an average of $26,222 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 665 computer programming graduates with average earnings and debt of $48,675 and $29,896 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 324 computer programming graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,278 and $24,587 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Programming Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Middle Atlantic Region” ranking, we looked at 8 colleges that offer a degree in computer programming. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality computer programming programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.

Wilmington University is a fairly large school located in New Castle, Delaware that handed out 11 bachelors’s programming degrees in 2019-2020.

SUNY College of Technology at Farmingdale is located in Farmingdale, New York and, has a fairly large student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 141 bachelors’s programming degrees to qualified students.

LIU Post landed the #7 spot on the 2022 Best Value Programming Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking. This fairly large school is located in Brookville, New York, and it awarded 16 bachelors’s programming degrees in 2019-2020.

Rochester Institute of Technology is a private not-for-profit institution located in Rochester, New York. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 30 bachelors’s degrees in 2019-2020.
