Computer Science is the 19th most popular major in the country with 53,722 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, computer science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $66,561 and had an average of $23,565 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 10,150 computer science graduates with average earnings and debt of $74,665 and $24,154 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 6,221 computer science graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,278 and $24,587 respectively.

For this year’s “Best Value CompSci Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Middle Atlantic Region” ranking, we looked at 70 colleges that offer a degree in computer science. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent computer science programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
