Information Technology is the 46th most popular major in the country with 38,958 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, information technology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $39,044 and had an average of $25,781 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 6,665 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $46,641 and $27,901 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,618 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,278 and $24,587 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value IT Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Middle Atlantic Region” ranking analyzed 37 colleges that offered a degree in information technology. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great information technology programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the information technology program at the school and the cost to attend the school once aid has been awarded. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
