2022 Best Value Associate Degree Colleges for Information Technology in the Southeast Region

In 2019-2020, 38,958 people earned their degree in information technology, making the major the 46th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, information technology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $39,044 and had an average of $25,781 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 12,308 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,600 and $26,616 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 2,177 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $31,631 and $18,547 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value IT Schools for an Associate in the Southeast Region” ranking analyzed 62 colleges that offered a degree in information technology. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent information technology programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the information technology program at the school and the cost to attend the school once aid has been awarded. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.

GTC is a medium-sized public school situated in Lawrenceville, Georgia. It awarded 145 associates’s IT degrees in 2019-2020.

Bossier Parish Community College ranked #7 on this year’s Best Value IT Schools for an Associate in the Southeast Region list. This medium-sized school is located in Bossier City, Louisiana, and it awarded 55 associates’s IT degrees in 2019-2020.

American Military University is located in Charles Town, West Virginia and, has a large student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 17 associates’s IT degrees to qualified students.
