Engineering Technologies is the 19th most popular major in the country with 86,730 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, engineering technologies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $46,894 and had an average of $21,178 in loans still to pay off.
At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 6,349 engineering technologies graduates with average earnings and debt of $56,398 and $43,194 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Engineering Tech Schools for a Master’s For Those Making $0-$30k” ranking, we looked at 136 colleges that offer a degree in engineering technologies. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent engineering technologies programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Duke University. It ranked #3 on our 2022 Best Value Engineering Tech Schools for a Master’s For Those Making $0-$30k list. Duke is a fairly large school located in Durham, North Carolina that handed out 182 masters’s engineering tech degrees in 2019-2020.
