In 2019-2020, 8,718 people earned their degree in health/medical prep programs, making the major the 91st most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, health/medical prep programs graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $33,843 and had an average of $24,525 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 2,328 health/medical prep programs graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,067 and $31,999 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 460 health/medical prep programs graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,277 and $25,415 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Medical Prep Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southeast Region” ranking looked at 25 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in health/medical prep programs. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great health/medical prep programs programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
