In 2019-2020, 31,648 people earned their degree in health sciences and services, making the major the 42nd most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, health sciences and services graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $34,571 and had an average of $24,129 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 8,162 health sciences and services graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,669 and $26,835 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 4,814 health sciences and services graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,277 and $25,415 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Health Science Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southeast Region” ranking looked at 68 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in health sciences and services. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality health sciences and services programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
