In 2019-2020, 31,648 people earned their degree in health sciences and services, making the major the 42nd most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, health sciences and services graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $34,571 and had an average of $24,129 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 5,577 health sciences and services graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,430 and $21,646 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 3,339 health sciences and services graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,278 and $24,587 respectively.

For this year’s “Best Value Health Science Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Middle Atlantic Region” ranking, we looked at 54 colleges that offer a degree in health sciences and services. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great health sciences and services programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as the cost to attend the school after aid is awarded and overall quality of the health sciences and services program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
