2022 Best Value Associate Degree Colleges for History in the Southeast Region

History is the 22nd most popular major in the country with 32,905 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, history graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $29,593 and had an average of $23,490 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 7,627 history graduates with average earnings and debt of $29,119 and $23,749 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 86 history graduates with average earnings and debt of $31,631 and $18,547 respectively.

Regent University is a fairly large private not-for-profit school situated in Virginia Beach, Virginia. It awarded 1 associates’s history degrees in 2019-2020.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at Regent, the school also landed the #2 spot in our “Best History Associate Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking. It costs about $15,267 for southeast region associate degree history students per year to attend Regent.
