Cosmetology is the 238th most popular major in the country with 95,609 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, cosmetology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $15,675 and had an average of $10,029 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 27,522 cosmetology graduates with average earnings and debt of $14,734 and $10,713 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 328 cosmetology graduates with average earnings and debt of $31,631 and $18,547 respectively.

The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great cosmetology programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
