2022 Best Value Chemistry Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region

In 2019-2020, 21,951 people earned their degree in chemistry, making the major the 44th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, chemistry graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $38,704 and had an average of $22,279 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Rocky Mountains region, there were 767 chemistry graduates with average earnings and debt of $34,125 and $22,137 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 74 chemistry graduates with average earnings and debt of $53,560 and $37,817 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Chemistry Schools for a Master’s in the Rocky Mountains Region” ranking, we looked at 12 colleges that offer a degree in chemistry. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality chemistry programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
