2022 Best Value Associate Degree Colleges for Fire Protection in the Southwest Region

In 2019-2020, 13,176 people earned their degree in fire protection, making the major the 114th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, fire protection graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $51,404 and had an average of $24,230 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 1,579 fire protection graduates with average earnings and debt of $34,918 and $9,026 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 342 fire protection graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,605 and $16,886 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Fire Protection Schools for an Associate in the Southwest Region” ranking looked at 24 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in fire protection. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality fire protection programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
