2022 Best Value Clinical Psychology Schools for a Master’s in the New England Region

In 2019-2020, 31,746 people earned their degree in clinical, counseling and applied psychology, making the major the 37th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, clinical, counseling and applied psychology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $45,872 and had an average of $65,193 in loans still to pay off.
Across the New England region, there were 2,292 clinical, counseling and applied psychology graduates with average earnings and debt of $44,569 and $49,122 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 1,355 clinical, counseling and applied psychology graduates with average earnings and debt of $58,606 and $42,101 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Clinical Psychology Schools for a Master’s in the New England Region” ranking, we looked at 40 colleges that offer a degree in clinical, counseling and applied psychology. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great clinical, counseling and applied psychology programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as the cost to attend the school after aid is awarded and overall quality of the clinical, counseling and applied psychology program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
