2022 Best Value Master’s Degree Colleges for Clinical, Counseling & Applied Psychology

In 2019-2020, 31,746 people earned their degree in clinical, counseling and applied psychology, making the major the 37th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, clinical, counseling and applied psychology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $45,872 and had an average of $65,193 in loans still to pay off.
At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 21,021 clinical, counseling and applied psychology graduates with average earnings and debt of $56,398 and $43,194 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Clinical Psychology Schools for a Master’s” ranking, we looked at 428 colleges that offer a degree in clinical, counseling and applied psychology. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great clinical, counseling and applied psychology programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
