2022 Best Value Bachelor’s Degree Colleges for General Agriculture (Income $0-$30k) in the Southeast Region

In 2019-2020, 3,332 people earned their degree in general agriculture, making the major the 148th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, general agriculture graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $33,257 and had an average of $20,441 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 842 general agriculture graduates with average earnings and debt of $29,044 and $23,732 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 665 general agriculture graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,277 and $25,415 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Agriculture Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southeast Region For Those Making $0-$30k” ranking, we looked at 19 colleges that offer a degree in general agriculture. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent general agriculture programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.

North Carolina State University is a large public school situated in Raleigh, North Carolina. It awarded 26 bachelors’s agriculture degrees in 2019-2020.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at NC State, the school also landed the #3 spot in our “Best General Agriculture Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking.
