In 2017-2018, general business/commerce graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $40,821 and had an average of $25,596 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 7,763 general business/commerce graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,372 and $24,257 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 782 general business/commerce graduates with average earnings and debt of $60,887 and $46,998 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value General Business Schools for a Master’s in the Middle Atlantic Region” ranking, we looked at 14 colleges that offer a degree in general business/commerce. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality general business/commerce programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.

College Park, Maryland is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s general business degrees to 7 students in 2019-2020.

Indiana University of Pennsylvania - Main Campus did quite well in the 2022 Best Value General Business Schools for a Master’s in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking, coming in at #7. Located in Indiana, Pennsylvania, this fairly large public school awarded 7 degrees to qualified masters’s general business students in 2019-2020.

Catholic University of America landed the #13 spot on the 2022 Best Value General Business Schools for a Master’s in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking. Located in Washington, District of Columbia, this medium-sized private not-for-profit school awarded 3 degrees to qualified masters’s general business students in 2019-2020.
CUA did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #6 on our “Best General Business/Commerce Master’s Degree Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region” list. Average graduate tuition and fees at Catholic University of America are $50,340, but you may pay more or less depending on your major.
Johns Hopkins University came in at #14 in this year’s edition of the Best Value General Business Schools for a Master’s in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking. This large school is located in Baltimore, Maryland, and it awarded 320 masters’s general business degrees in 2019-2020.
