In 2019-2020, 26,616 people earned their degree in human resource management, making the major the 43rd most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, human resource management graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $46,242 and had an average of $34,825 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 4,634 human resource management graduates with average earnings and debt of $50,049 and $33,952 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 1,532 human resource management graduates with average earnings and debt of $60,887 and $46,998 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value HR Schools for a Master’s in the Middle Atlantic Region” ranking, we looked at 46 colleges that offer a degree in human resource management. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent human resource management programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.

Out of the 46 schools in the Best Value HR Schools for a Master’s in the Middle Atlantic Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Saint Joseph’s University landed the #4 spot on the list. Saint Joseph’s University is a medium-sized school located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that handed out 20 masters’s HR degrees in 2019-2020.

Thomas Edison State University ranked #7 on this year’s Best Value HR Schools for a Master’s in the Middle Atlantic Region list.
