In 2019-2020, 26,616 people earned their degree in human resource management, making the major the 43rd most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, human resource management graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $46,242 and had an average of $34,825 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 4,634 human resource management graduates with average earnings and debt of $50,049 and $33,952 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 1,532 human resource management graduates with average earnings and debt of $60,887 and $46,998 respectively.

For this year’s “Best Value HR Schools for a Master’s in the Middle Atlantic Region” ranking, we looked at 46 colleges that offer a degree in human resource management. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent human resource management programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
