In 2019-2020, 26,616 people earned their degree in human resource management, making the major the 43rd most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, human resource management graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $46,242 and had an average of $34,825 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 3,387 human resource management graduates with average earnings and debt of $46,672 and $40,373 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 1,214 human resource management graduates with average earnings and debt of $53,950 and $43,286 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value HR Schools for a Master’s in the Southeast Region” ranking looked at 39 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in human resource management. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality human resource management programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.

Some of the factors we look at when determining these rankings are overall quality of the human resource management program at the school and the cost of the school after aid is awarded among other things. See our ranking methodology to learn more.
