In 2019-2020, 17,830 people earned their degree in hospitality management, making the major the 61st most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, hospitality management graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $33,271 and had an average of $21,829 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 5,663 hospitality management graduates with average earnings and debt of $32,970 and $23,823 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 308 hospitality management graduates with average earnings and debt of $53,950 and $43,286 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Hospitality Schools for a Master’s in the Southeast Region” ranking looked at 8 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in hospitality management. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent hospitality management programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.

Miami, Florida is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s hospitality degrees to 169 students in 2019-2020.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend University of Central Florida. The school came in at #3 for the Best Value Hospitality Schools for a Master’s in the Southeast Region. University of Central Florida is a large school located in Orlando, Florida that handed out 68 masters’s hospitality degrees in 2019-2020.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at UCF, the school also landed the #1 spot in our “Best Hospitality Management Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking. Average graduate tuition and fees at UCF are $28,657, but some majors have different tuition rates.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend East Carolina University. It ranked #4 on our 2022 Best Value Hospitality Schools for a Master’s in the Southeast Region list. ECU is a large public school situated in Greenville, North Carolina. It awarded 2 masters’s hospitality degrees in 2019-2020.
