In 2019-2020, 36,038 people earned their degree in management sciences and quantitative methods, making the major the 47th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, management sciences and quantitative methods graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $60,558 and had an average of $28,049 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 5,530 management sciences and quantitative methods graduates with average earnings and debt of $60,423 and $29,892 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 2,252 management sciences and quantitative methods graduates with average earnings and debt of $53,950 and $43,286 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Management Science Schools for a Master’s in the Southeast Region” ranking, we looked at 29 colleges that offer a degree in management sciences and quantitative methods. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great management sciences and quantitative methods programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

Fayetteville, Arkansas is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s management science degrees to 38 students in 2019-2020.
