Our “Best Value HR Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southeast Region” ranking is part of that endeavor.

In 2019-2020, 26,616 people earned their degree in human resource management, making the major the 43rd most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, human resource management graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $46,242 and had an average of $34,825 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 3,387 human resource management graduates with average earnings and debt of $46,672 and $40,373 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,221 human resource management graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,277 and $25,415 respectively.

For this year’s “Best Value HR Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southeast Region” ranking, we looked at 45 colleges that offer a degree in human resource management. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality human resource management programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.

To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as the cost to attend the school after aid is awarded and overall quality of the human resource management program at the school. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.
