In 2019-2020, 26,616 people earned their degree in human resource management, making the major the 43rd most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, human resource management graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $46,242 and had an average of $34,825 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Rocky Mountains region, there were 1,988 human resource management graduates with average earnings and debt of $47,965 and $39,699 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,317 human resource management graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,111 and $23,874 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value HR Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Rocky Mountains Region” ranking analyzed 10 colleges that offered a degree in human resource management. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great human resource management programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

WGU is located in Salt Lake City, Utah and, has a large student population. In 2019-2020, this school awarded 844 bachelors’s HR degrees to qualified students.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Brigham Young University - Provo. It ranked #2 on our 2022 Best Value HR Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Rocky Mountains Region list. Located in Provo, Utah, this large private not-for-profit school handed out 40 degrees to qualified bachelors’s HR students in 2019-2020.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at BYU, the school also landed the #2 spot in our “Best Human Resource Management Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region” ranking. It costs about $13,322 for Rocky Mountains Region Bachelor’s Degree HR students per year to attend Brigham Young University - Provo.

The low student loan default rate of 1.7% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. For comparison, the national default rate is 10.1%. With a freshman retention rate of 92%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its students.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Colorado State University - Global Campus. The school came in at #3 for the Best Value HR Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Rocky Mountains Region. Colorado State University - Global Campus is a public institution located in Greenwood Village, Colorado. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 283 bachelors’s degrees in 2019-2020.

As a testament to the quality of education offered at Colorado State University - Global Campus, the school also landed the #1 spot in our “Best Human Resource Management Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region” ranking.

Out of the 10 schools in the Best Value HR Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Rocky Mountains Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Utah Valley University landed the #4 spot on the list. Located in Orem, Utah, this large public school handed out 26 diplomas to qualified bachelors’s HR students in 2019-2020.
